Aside from The Vampire Diaries and Damon Salvatore, there are two things we absolutely love: photos and great quotes. This is another reason why we adore Nina Dobrev. We’re all followers of Nina’s Twitter, so we’re updated on her collection of Picture Quotes of the Day. This makes us realize that she’s not just another pretty face, she’s also highly intellectual.

She strives to inspire everyone with her words, and admit it, at one point or another we’ve got one of her picture quotes as our iPhone wallpaper. It spoke to us, so we own it, and thanks to Nina we have more motivation to get up in the morning each day.

We may be still confused, jumping from Team Stefan to Team Damon alternatively, and while we still haven’t decided, we might as well just cool our heels over the holidays and do some meditation. Nina’s a yoga fan so we might as well follow her example. Spend some quality alone time with classical music, curl up in the couch, maybe engage in some www.cheekybingo.com for some girly challenges of slots and casino games. If we’re lucky we just might win ourselves some real cash over the holiday break. Not bad for relaxation at home. Don’t forget to light some vanilla scented candles and soak into the tub with {The Vampire Diaries soundtrack} http://thevampirediariessoundtrack.com/ to cap off your evenings. Close your eyes, and ponder over these wonderful quotes brought to us by Nina Dobrev. Maybe you can pick one that you can send to your friends to spread the cheer. We’ve gathered some of our favorites for you. Here they are:

* Every day is a new beginning. Stay away from what might have been and look at what can be.

* Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people who treat you right and forget the ones that don’t, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

* You are not Atlas carrying the world on your shoulder. It is good to remember that the world is carrying you.

* Not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

* Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

* To get the full value of joy, you must have someone to divide it with.

* Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today.

There you go. What’s your favorite Nina quote? Share them with us. Happy Holidays everyone!

The Vampire Diaries’ Nina Dobrev shared her Halloween costume on her WhoSay Account on Thursday (October 31).

She wrote, “Was supposed to film late, so this is my last minute emergency costume. What am I? Take a guess. Clue: I’m a little sh*t and this is my name”

Whether she spent the rest of Halloween with Ian Somerhalder is unknown. She did tell Seventeen that she fought the temptation of him for a long time.

She said, “The first time I was on the cover of Seventeen, the cover line said ‘Nina: Why she wouldn’t date any of her co-stars.’ And then cut to two years later…it’s funny that I said that, but you know what? It was honestly what I believed at the time. I didn’t want to be dating one of my costars—my goal on the show was to be professional news.”

“But sometimes you can’t help who you have a connection with, and you can only fight it for so long—which I did for a really, really long time.”

And Here’s Another Joke:

A grasshopper walks into a bar.

The bartender says, “Hey, we have a drink named after you.”

The grasshopper says, “You have a drink named Steve?”

About the Jokester:

Let’s clear up something important from the outset: This woman is not Emmanuelle Chriqui, star of Entourage and You Don’t Mess With the Zohan. She is fellow actress Nina Dobrev.

As a reader service, here’s a handy guide for telling them apart: Dobrev is Bulgarian-Canadian. Chriqui is Moroccan-Canadian. Dobrev’s eyes are huge. Chriqui’s eyes are big. Dobrev has brown hair. Chriqui has dark brown hair. A few other distinguishing characteristics: Dobrev plays a vampire in the young-adult series The Vampire Diaries and appears alongside Paul Rudd in the new movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower (out September 14). Nina Dobrev hasn’t read the best-selling “Fifty Shades of Grey” just yet, but with every young starlet’s name floating around as a possible contender for the female lead, literature student Anastasia Steele, she might want to start reading up.

“All I’ve heard is that it’s very scandalous, to say the least,” the “Vampire Diaries” star told MTV News. “I haven’t read it, but who knows? I mean, well, I guess we’ll have to see.”

Fans of the erotic trilogy might not mind seeing Dobrev get her S&M on with her “Diaries” co-star Ian Somerhalder in the big-screen adaptation of the E L James book. But she confessed that if she does play the part, she wouldn’t want to have Somerhalder playing the millionaire beau, Christian Grey.

“I don’t know if that’s a good idea,” she said. “I think it’s best for any of the actors on the ‘Vampire Diaries’ to kind of do their own things … and create new characters. And as much as you try when you shoot a movie, if it’s two of the same people, the fans will always see you as … they’ll see me as Elena and they’ll see him as Damon if we do a film together.”

So, that means “Fifty” fans will only get either Dobrev or Somerhalder if either gets cast in the film. And Dobrev is most certainly rooting for him. “I think it would be better [if] either he should get it or I should get it,” she said. “I know that apparently he’s really great for the role, so I hope that he gets it.”

Given how sexy the book is, casting might not be the only challenge. Some fans are wondering how they can adapt the highly charged sex scenes for an R-rated version of the film.

“Making this movie will absolutely be a challenge. It is going to take a devoted director who admittedly likes the books and understands that, first and foremost, this is a love story,” Lisa Parker from FiftyShadesFilm.com told MTV News. “If telling the love story is the main focus, then we do believe the steamy sex scenes can be shot and edited in a way to get us an R-rated movie rather than NC-17 … [the fans] are confident that Ms. James will protect the integrity of her story regardless of the ultimate rating.”

After three seasons, Elena Gilbert finally — and accidentally — became immortal on The Vampire Diaries’ finale Thursday.

When Nina Dobrev’s character drowned — she begged Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) to save Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) instead — her friends presumed her to be dead. What they didn’t know, however, was that Elena had vampire blood in her system, and she would soon join Stefan, Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) and Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) as a vampire.

Dobrev, 23, visited Us Weekly’s New York City offices Friday to chat about how her character’s surprising transition will play out during Season 4 of hit series, which returns this fall on The CW.

“I liked having one human and one vampire, because then I get the best of worlds and I get to do a variety of things,” said Dobrev, who also plays a vampire named Katherine Pierce. “But, then again, it is going to be different for me and it’s going to be challenge. It’s going to be more fun to sort of explore that world.”

“We’re definitely going to see her whole transition into becoming a vampire. We’re not going to skip over it, as we have with others,” Dobrev assured Us. “Becoming a vampire, everything you feel is heightened. . . We know what Elena’s like: She has high morals, she looks out for other people. So what’s Elena going to be like with those things accentuated?”

Teen witch Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) won’t likely be pleased to learn Elena is now a vampire. “Their relationship is probably going to be so strained because of that. Her best friend, the one person she’s been fighting to protect, is now what she’s been fighting against all this time,” Dobrev explained. “It’s going to be interesting.”

Prior to her death, Elena also made a tough decision when she chose to be with Stefan instead of his brother, Damon.

“It does kind of feel like you’re disappointing half the people. But you’re always going to disappoint half the people with this kind of storyline,” Dobrev said of the series’ central love triangle. “I think we gave them both what they wanted at some point or another during the season, so it’s not like we shunned them or disregarded their wants.”

The Vampire Diaries airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Previous seasons can be streamed via Netflix Instant Watch.

There’s a point in every mother or daughter’s life when they realize “she’s just like me”…and that’s pretty awesome. From music, to fashion, to the latest i-gadget accessory, teens have the power to help shape their mom’s choices. It’s also no surprise that mothers are especially powerful role models for their daughters, particularly when it comes to health and nutrition. Simply watching a mom engage in healthy habits, like enjoying a nutritious breakfast with lowfat milk, can set the stage for a lifetime of smart choices. In particular, research suggests that moms who drink milk are likely to have daughters who drink milk. This influence has been shown throughout childhood, but the impact appears to be the strongest in the early years of her daughter’s life.

Actress Nina Dobrev of “The Vampire Diaries” understands that good role modeling starts with simple, positive acts like these. That’s why she and her mother are teaming up with the National Milk Mustache
“got milk?”® Campaign and Seventeen magazine to launch “Like Her, Like Me” —a program that draws attention to the many ways in which moms and teens can positively influence each other. The campaign culminates in a search for special mother-daughter duos to appear in their very own Milk Mustache ad. This is the first time that Nina and her mother team-up in an ad.

“My mom and I are especially close — we’ve learned a lot from each other. Growing up, my mom would make us oatmeal with milk; we’d spend time together as a family during breakfast which is, hands down, the most important meal of the day,” said Dobrev. “Through the ‘Like Her, Like Me’ program, we want to inspire moms and teens to share more special moments and healthy habits — whether they’re swapping stories over a glass of milk or bonding at breakfast. ”

It’s Just Not Breakfast without Milk
Teens who eat meals regularly with their parents are more likely to drink milk, eat nutrient-rich fruit and vegetables, and are less likely to skip breakfast. They also tend to do better in school. “Breakfast time really can be family time. Even if it’s just 15 minutes before heading out, it’s so important for moms and kids to spend quality time together and start the day off with a delicious breakfast – for nutrition and far beyond,” said Carolyn O’Neil, MS, RD., co-author of The Dish on Eating Healthy and Being Fabulous! “As a mother, I know that the bonding and support benefits of family meals can extend far beyond what’s on the plate.”

Breakfast is the perfect time to model healthy habits for the whole family, including drinking milk. Serving milk and its 9 essential nutrients at breakfast – whether in a glass, on cereal or in a smoothie – is a small step that can make a big difference. It’s tasty and easy to incorporate into your morning meal – add some to your latte, oatmeal or pair it with your morning banana.

Be the Next Mother Daughter Milk Mustache Team!
Did you introduce your mom to the wonders of hot yoga? Did you teach your daughter how to make that secret family recipe? Questions like these inspired the “Like Her, Like Me” campaign — and Nina and her mom want to hear your answers!

Together with America and the National Milk Mustache “got milk?”® Campaign , Nina and her mom Michaela will help select three teams that exemplify positive role modeling to appear in their very own Milk Mustache ad. The winners will win a trip to New York City, for a Milk Mustache ad photo shoot that will grace the pages of Seventeen magazine this fall.

So, by June 22, 2012, grab a camera, have fun, and, in two minutes or less, show what makes you an awesome team, including tips on how milk at breakfast helps you both start the day off strong. Upload your entries at Seventeen.com or TheBreakfastProject.com. The three winning groups will be featured in an ad as the next Milk Mustache stars!
